Are those different teams?Īn easy way to set this up would be a matrix where you have the tasks 5004, 5005, 5006 down column A and then Fl 1, Fl 2, Fl 3. I mostly fumble my way through excel, so hoping for some guidance. so would need that to begin with x.2 designation. For instance, floors do not start installation until floor 2. I don't always need the same subtask for each task. I can then specify number of floors (subtask) for each main task and it generates into the format of the picture.
I am wondering if there is something I can build that selects from a master list of all tasks and gives me opportunity to assign each floor. I though maybe creating it in table form might be easier, but I am still selecting each line. RIght now I have ALL data on one page and go through manually hiding any unused. I am wondering if there is a quicker way to select/hide unused tasks in my budget template.
In addition Project 1 might only have 3 floors and project 2 has 6 floors. One project may use 15 tasks and the next only 10 with 5 shared tasks.
